You know when you get kids a toy, and they seem more interested in the box? Well, why not get them a gift, where the gift is the box? Just like this cardboard rocket made from recycled cardboard.

The rocket is completely paintable, using non-toxic water-based paints. The rocket encourages children to play either indoors or out too. Once the toy has fallen apart from plenty of use, you can simply recycle the cardboard at a traditional cardboard recycling depot.

If you don’t have the pennies to buy the rocket, chat to a local supermarket for any spare boxes they might have. Then you can help your children to make their own!
