Upgrading your older toilet can save gallons on each flush. Older toilets use up to 3-5 gallons, while new ones can take less than a 1/2 gallon while remaining “effective”. Almost all new toilets on the market are high efficiency anyway. So go nuts, pick your favourite and flush away.

Some cities even have a toilet recycling program. They take your old toilet, grind it up into powder and use it to supplement road construction materials.
