woodchipping_
Thinking of laying a path in your garden or vegetable garden? Concrete slabs I can here you saying! Fancy laying your path an alternative way?

A wood chip path is not only more environmentally friendly than the concrete option but it is much more attractive to look at. Plus, and this is what is really great about this tip is that if you want to, you can make your wooden path winding through your garden. The wood chip alternative will save you a lot of work too as laying a path of concrete slabs will require levelling of the ground before you lay the slabs.

To lay your wooden path, you need two things, a). sheets of weed control ground cover, and b). wood chippings. The sheets of ground cover will stay in the ground for years and if you ask nicely enough you can get wood chippings from your local tree surgeon for a small fee or even for free if your lucky.

Just lay the plastic sheet down on your path line and cover it with wood chippings….brilliant! Remember that you may need to replenish the wood chippings every five years or so.
