Not only do these look nicer than the modern average black or white plastic version made in China, but you also have the added bonus of not sleeping in if there is a power cut or the electricity runs out during the night. In addition – you’re often more likely to wake to the ringing sound of a traditional alarm clock than the polyphonic tone of a cheap alarm clock or your mobile phone which will pound your brain with mobile waves whilst you sleep.
