Have you gone to your local library lately? It is probably a wealth of information like mine. I think that local libraries are under-used.
So next time you’re thinking about buying a good book, see if it’s at your library first. You’re save energy from every step of the process. The paper won’t be used to create another book, it won’t be packaged or shipped to the store, and when you’re done with it, someone else will be able to enjoy it.
Many libraries have also moved into the realm of CDs and DVDs. It’s often considerably cheaper than buying a DVD or CD too.

Good points there dan. I can say one thing for certain…..since our public library started offering dvds, I haven’t rented a single one from the movie store! Sure, you might have to wait an extra month or so to get those new releases, but it sure beats paying 6 bucks for a movie that you only get for an evening. Our library allows you to take movies for periods of 1 week.
I agree. I also like the idea of supporting local services.
