Here is a wonderful trick that will get rid of your fruit flies almost instantly!

To eliminate fruit flies, you will need the following:

• A little bowl (A ramekin used for crème brûlée works perfectly)
• Apple cider vinegar (any sweet juice will do if you don’t have this)
• Plastic wrap (cling film)

Instructions:

• Fill the little bowl with apple cider vinegar so that the depth is approximately 1in/2.5cm.
• Cover with plastic wrap.
• With the aid of a tooth pick, punch several holes in the plastic wrap. Make sure that the opening is big enough for them to enter, but small enough to not escape.
• Place the bowl(s) on your kitchen countertop or wherever your problem lies.

The flies, attracted by the scent of apple cider vinegar, will enter though the little holes. Once inside, they will be unable to escape and then will die. They will fly around the perimeter of the bowl so make sure there are no holes there or they might escape.
